My number 1 would be either:
MGS- Sony, you had better bring this to the American PSN!
FFVIII - At least back then I was more of a Squall guy than a Cloud guy
Jumping Jack Flash - the sense of jumping through the air in this game still makes me smile
or
Battle Arena Toshinden- An amazing launch title, it really set the boundary between 16 and 32 bit games
Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I would never want to promote hypocrisy either, I am just saying that i think (due to our present condition) it is unavoidable and it is better to be honest about it. I definitely agree with your point about the commercialization of Christianity as well, I fluctuate from disgusted to embarrassed to sympathetic.
I don't know, maybe this isn't the best activity for a church sponsored event, but I must admit that I have spent much free time pla...
First, I will admit that I am a committed Christian. I think it is fair that you know.
I too am wary of the idea of "luring" people to Christianity. While in the one sense becoming a Christian is a free gift, the life that the Bible calls Christians to is not meant to be easy or always comfortable (as opposed to the "prosperity gospel" that so many tele-evangelists preach).
That being said, I don't mind a church opening its doors to a little Hal...
@Kholinar
Wow, very nicely stated. I am so tired of quasi-educated people attempting to rip-off some old sociological or "scientific" ideology without realizing how post-modernity has reshaped the core questions we are asking and exposed us to the hidden biases we all have.
phantom 2.0 ftw?
(wasn't that the name of the console/pc that never got released?)
I'm impressed with the amount of grace and understanding expressed in this thread.
May we extend the same to everyone we come across today.
Sorry, I accidentally disagreed with you, that was supposed to be an agree.
phrases like "m$" kind of belong in the open zone
i'm glad you enjoy your ps3, so do i, but come on
Blu-Rays inevitable win helped push me to get a PS3 earlier this month (to go with my spiffy HDTV).
The LaRouche movement need not be taken seriously. I would consider them creative, not critical, thinkers, whose ideas rarely stand up to reality.
George is getting very angry.
Can the moderators kindly move this discussion to the open zone?
So I finally got a PS3 this week, completing the trinity that is the next-gen systems and I have to say I really love it! I bought the 40gig and it is a really well made piece of hardware (definitely the best of all 3 systems).
That being said, I still love my 360. It gave me one of my favorite years of videogames ever in 2007 with all the really high quality games that came out.
I feel that I am now in a great position and in good control to be able to enjoy the g...
"So what were they suppose to do with the series? Turn it into an FPS?"
well played.
When are they going to release a new starter pack like that in the US? I have been waiting all month for some deal to push me over the edge and finally pick up a ps3, but nothing has happened.
BTW, anyone know what will happen to the 5 free blu-ray deal after Jan31st?
"anyone with a brain unaffected by flouride"
Come on Madden, let's keep it constructive. That's the type of inflammatory comment that we should try and keep out of the Gamer Zone.
Looks great, and I am glad there is an option now to only view/engage in more positive and constructive discussions.
Good point.
Also, by the way, I finally beat Ratchet and I enjoyed it a bit more than Mario Galaxy.
